"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

I wouldn't advise a watermark on everything though, because I think it draws the attention away from the piece a bit. I know why you have it, but maybe make your own watermark or signature. But like I say, that's just my opinion. It's your decision.
Maybe put your name in a corner. Have a look around, you'll see plenty of different ways of watermarks - see which one you like the most and use it as an idea.
